The self-service terminal supports citizens during the application process for ID documents and driving licences. The biometric photo is taken directly at the device and sent, together with the fingerprints and signatures, to the public agency network in a seamless, quality-assured process. This procedure allows citizens themselves to apply for their ID documents, no photo is required and it shortens waiting times.
The terminal also enables citizens to use the public services offered by the respective municipalities. This relieves staff at the agency from routine procedures in the application process. The terminal can also be used for access management.

The SST along with the space for the user takes up approx. 2.3m (height) x 1.5m (width) and 2.0m (depth) of space. The user side is limited by a bright back wall measuring 1.2m (width) x 2.3m (height) that serves as a background for photos. An additional back wall can also be ordered if needed. The place of installation should be well lit up in order to achieve optimum results.
