Bundesdruckerei a new member of the International Currency Association

28 April 2022 – Bundesdruckerei is regarded as a trustworthy and innovative partner for governments and central banks around the world. In April 2022, Bundesdruckerei GmbH joined the International Currency Association (ICA).

Bundesdruckerei GmbH has been a new member of the ICA since April

Bundesdruckerei GmbH joined the International Currency Association (ICA) in April 2022. The association has set itself the task of giving the banknote industry a unified voice. According to ICA Chair Dr Wolfram Seidemann: “Bundesdruckerei’s decision to join our association is another positive development in the association’s continued strengthening to be the voice of the global currency industry and ensure cash has a vibrant future.”

Dr Dieter Sauter, Senior Vice President & General Manager of the Business Unit of Value Printing at Bundesdruckerei GmbH, says: “Cash will retain its place as a means of payment in future as well. The reason behind our decision to join the ICA is to promote the importance of cash in society as an inclusive, reliable and private means of payment.”
